The Lansing Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. initiated the Leadership Forum in 1982. Originally offered on a quarterly basis, the Forum is currently an annual spring event.
The purpose of the Leadership Forum is to provide an opportunity for African-Americans in the Greater Lansing community to hear from, and interact with, acknowledged leaders on issues of importance to African-Americans in the United States generally, and in Michigan and the Lansing community specifically.
The Lansing Alumni Chapter plans to continue the tradition of bringing outstanding Black leaders to share with us ideas, trends and issues to enable us to be appropriately informed regarding local, state and nations concerns that impact our community.
The Forum Luncheon is held at The University Club of M.S.U. Participation in the Forum Luncheon is by invitation only and the attendance has ranged from 85 to 100.
